
Patrick J. Sweeney II
Patrick is ODIN's founder and provides strategic leadership and management. He is a proven entrepreneur and technology visionary. He is the author of two industry-leading books - RFID for Dummies and the CompTIA RFID+ Study Guide and is well-recognized as a thought leader in the RFID industry. His combination of technical expertise and go-to-market success have enabled him to constantly be ahead of the market. He holds several RFID patents. He has been interviewed in CIO Magazine, The Washington Post, Fortune Magazine and ABC News, among others. He is a talented spokesman and frequent speaker at industry conferences and seminars. His combination of technical and business background help him form the strategy to lead the direction of the RFID industry; his involvement in many governing bodies and standards committees effectively transfers those ideas into policy. In the late 90’s he founded ServerVault, a secure managed hosting company, and led the company as CEO, through fourteen quarters of consecutive sales growth. At ServerVault, he recruited world-class talent, developed novel technologies and earned loyal customer relationships. He successfully sold ServerVault in 2001, the company was sold again in 2009 for a 5x return to its investors. Patrick graduated from the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia, where he currently sits on the Alumni Board and represents the Technology interests to the Board of Trustee. He received his Bachelor of Science from the University of New Hampshire. He is the only North American member of Trinity College, Dublin’s Advisory Board, and is on the advisory group for RFID Business and a member of the AIM Global RFID Experts Group. He is also on the board of Peace Players International, helping use sports to bring children in areas of conflict together. Patrick is a champion rower, having won the Royal Canadian Henley Regatta, the Norwegian World Cup and numerous World Cup and international events. He finished second in the 1996 Olympic trials in the single scull. He is also an instrument-rated airplane pilot who flies his own Beechraft regularly. Patrick believes in building companies based on innovation, integrity and a focus on client satisfaction. He is a member of Young President's Organization (YPO) and sits on the membership committee in his chapter.He and wife Christen live in northern Virginia and have three children.
Bret Kinsella
Bret Kinsella has helped build ODIN into the market leader in RFID by focusing on client needs and transforming those needs into repeatable solutions. Bret is responsible for client management, sales, delivery and software development. He brings 15 years of supply chain operations, marketing and technology management experience in both the private and public sectors to the ODIN team. His focus is on employing technology and processes to enable more agile, efficient supply chains while creating Supremely Satisfied Clients. Prior to his current role, Mr. Kinsella served as Director and General Manager of Supply Chain Services at IT consultancy Sapient, led product marketing at software maker Formation Systems and served as a supply chain strategy manager at Accenture. During his career, Mr. Kinsella has served clients in the United States, Latin America and Europe such as Airbus, General Motors, Dell, Intel, Target, Staples, Marks & Spencer, Cardinal Health, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Medtronic, Depuy, Thomasville Furniture, Banamex, The United States Customs and Border Protection and the United States Department of Defense. Bret is widely published on the topics of supply chain, RFID and brand strategy. He earned his MBA from UCLA and B.S. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.
Dr. Daniel Engels
Daniel was at MIT’s Auto-ID Center from the beginning, as the Director of Research at the Auto-ID Labs, working with groups like the DoD and ISO, and is a creator of the protocol. Daniel is an exclusive consultant to ODIN technologies in the Federal Sector and also works with ODIN technologies on commercial clients. He divides his time as Director of the newly formed Texas RFID Center and Associate Professor at the University of Texas at Arlington, and working on ODIN technologies projects. Daniel led the very first pilot projects for the Auto-ID Center, which involved Wal-Mart, P&G, Gillette, and several other companies. He was with them constantly as they faced many of the challenges other companies deploying RFID face today. He has been sharing a level of knowledge and experience with the ODIN technologies team that is unmatched in the industry, helping our strategy planning be years ahead of our competitors. He received his PhD from MIT, Masters Degree from Berkeley and Bachelors from State University of New York; all in electrical engineering with a focus on distributed systems architecture. He has more than a dozen patents currently pending.
Ronan Wisdom
He is focused on building great places to work, generating shareholder value and exceeding customers’ expectations through excellence. Prior to joining ODIN Ronan served as Chief Executive Officer for Nathean Technologies, a leading developer of business intelligence software. Ronan is a graduate of the Dublin Institute of Technology.
John Kelvie
Prior to joining ODIN, John was the Chief Architect and Co-Founder of Overture Technologies, one of the leading providers of software for the mortgage and higher education verticals. He led the development of all of Overture's products, including their industry-leading eligibility and pricing engine software that is used by some of the pre-eminent mortgage and financial services companies in the world. John graduated from Duke University and lives in Maryland.
Michael Ludwig
Before joining ODIN, as an associate with Riverhouse11900 LLC, Mike helped to create the Family Office for Washington Redskins owner Dan Snyder, which oversaw the operation of several entities and performed investment due diligence on over $650 million of small to middle market private investments as a senior analyst with American Capital Strategies. Mr. Ludwig provided audit services as a senior staff member with Ernst & Young for several years. Mike holds a degree in Accounting & Finance from the University of Maryland at College Park.
Kevin MacDonald
Mr. MacDonald is an expert in systems architecture for RFID and is responsible for designing and implementing client solutions and architecture. Prior to joining ODIN technologies, he was part of the leadership of Sun Microsystem's RFID architectural consulting group and instrumental in establishing several of Sun's initial RFID engagements. Prior to his work at Sun, Kevin worked at Motorola where he led several development teams. Kevin earned his B.S. in Computer Science from Villanova University. Mr. MacDonald is widely recognized for the presentations he has given on deploying RFID and large scale enterprise software.
Scott Decker
Prior to his work at ODIN, Mr. Decker spent over two decades in logistics and distribution operations management including leading all distribution operations for GTSI where he led a successful effort to become one of the very first RFID compliant Department of Defense suppliers. His deep background and experience have contributed to his expertise in process design, technology adoption and project implementation and has been instrumental in his leadership of ODIN's delivery teams. Mr. Decker is a graduate of James Madison University.
Christopher Fennig Chris is responsible for executing client engagements and testing R&D on all facets of RFID. He has focused on the emerging RFID industry since its inception and has successfully engaged leaders in the industry through his professional consulting services. His experience includes direct interaction with Wal-Mart’s top suppliers, leading Aerospace companies, and global pharmaceutical companies specifically designing and executing novel RFID systems. Chris is passionate about leading tech-based business initiatives. His interaction with RF began as a developer of cutting edge nanosatellite technologies designed to deliver store-and-forward email communication services to clients worldwide. This technology formed the basis for a startup called Nanostar Technologies, Inc. Serving as CEO, Chris held responsibility for formulating and executing strategic plans, as well as interacting with potential investors and strategic partners. Chris received his M.S. in Physics Entrepreneurship from Case Western Reserve University, a program dedicated to empowering physicists as entrepreneurs and his B.S. in Engineering/Physics from Taylor University in Upland, IN. |
